The Briar Vista Elementary Foundation enriches our small, diverse, title one school. Supporting the school garden, full participation in field trips, art, music, and science in both our Montessori and traditional classrooms. We fund capital improvements such as furniture and equipment and organize community events such as the Fall Festival and Back to School Food Truck Festival. We respond to the needs of our community through the Giving Tree and Covid crisis response. And last, but certainly not least, we make sure our teachers are supported, supplied, and appreciated!
This year we plan to:
* Refresh the Teacher’s Lounge
* Help bring a mural to the cafeteria by parent and celebrated artist and children’s book illustrator Teresa Abboud
* Bring gifts to children in need during our holiday Giving Tree drive in December
* Plant a pollinator garden and improve the landscaping in front of the school
